Mission Statement

     Military Police Company "C" (REIN), Headquarters Battalion, Fourth Service Support Group, Marine Forces Reserve provides task organized units for security operations for Marine Air Ground Task Forces (MAGTF) in support of the Fourth Force Service Support Group to include maneuver mobility support, area security, prisoner internment, law and order, and mortuary affairs operations.


Commander's Intent For Training

     Military Police Company "C" (REIN) will train for combat in order to provide security and mortuary affairs services to the MAGTF commander. Training will be standards based employing a performance-based systematic building block approach focused on individual training standards, mission performance standards, and mission essential tasks lists that challenges and trains Marines and Sailors to win in combat. We will train in the area of anti-terrorism / force protection, maneuver and mobility support operations, area security, law and order, internment operations, mortuary affairs collection point operations, and expeditionary morgue operations in order to provide MAGTF Commanders capabilities on an as needed basis.

     Lessons will not focus on merely classroom training as a matter of semantics, but rather will develop into performance based task evaluations. Factors used to achieve these goals are clear guidance, relevant and timely feedback, right equipment, effective SOPs, lessons learned from OIF operations, and appropriate and meaningful incentives matched with enthusiastic motivation. Training on Military Police standards will be conducted on a bi-annual basis with the first year concentrating on urban area security, heavy weapons training, and maneuver mobility support operations and the second year concentrating on detainee, law and order, and support to Security and Stability Operations. It is my intent that live fire exercises or simulated live fire exercises be conducted quarterly at a minimum; therefore, safety will be the cornerstone of every leaders recon and initial briefings.

     All leaders will conduct inspections of their Marines for personal appearance, equipment accountability and serviceability after all initial formations.

  • Conduct and Execute / Fire Support Planning
  • Conduct Operations in NBC, All Weather, and Urban Environments
  • Logistically Sustain the Company
     Military Police Company "C" (REIN) will provide anti-terrorism/force protection pre-deployment training, physical security specialist, area surveillance, and threat advisories for the defense of the area of operation. It will also provide maneuver mobility support for the purpose of determining Main Supply Route control measures, route reconnaissance, and route conditions that effect movement of personnel and equipment.

     Military Police Company "C" (REIN) will provide area security for the protection of lines of communication, designated critical assets and personnel, and the main supply route in order to detect enemy forces in the area of operation.

     Military Police Company "C" (REIN) will provide law and order operations to include law enforcement, criminal investigations, customs support, criminal information, accident investigations and related activities as directed.

     Military Police Company "C" (REIN) will support the evacuation, care, custody, treatment and control of enemy prisoners of war, civilian internees, U.S. Military prisoners, and control of the remains of and U.S. Military personnel in the expeditionary environment.
